cleaning house

Sunday, 9 June, 2002

Another busy day today. I was at Home Depot at 7:00 a.m. - picked up a few more plants including several orchids, and checked out their tile selection.

[Ehhhh.]

Then off to the grocery store for some "food shopping" and back home by 8:15. I showered and left around 10:00 to head up to Kathy's house. She and Marc have a lovely old farm house with two huge barns in a lovely spot up in Bucks County. She had everything decorated out by the pool for Jennifer's baby shower. There were probably 25 guests, including Jennifer's Mom and sister, and many people from my office and industry. It was great catching up with everyone. Jennifer opened presents and we all "ooohed" and "ahhhhed."

I had thought about stopping at Franklin Mills Mall to look for some clothes, but it was about 3:30 and I still had stuff to do. I got home at 4:00 and began loading up the car with boxes from my guest room. I drove over to the rowhouse and unloaded the boxes - ugh. I checked out THE HOUSE - they have started on the main staircase that wraps around the back of the dining room. It looks very nice and really changes the room. They hope to have it done later today.

A quiet evening - finished planting the new plants and watered everything. I've decided that plants are much more work than pets, but they really look wonderful.
