It's been a busy two weeks. Or month. Or however long it's been.

So - hi! Let's see, since I last wrote I've been to Bermuda (twice) and London, had Professor Stephani come visit and actually unpacked my suitcase. But not for long, since Gary and I are flying out to Seattle next Wednesday to spend some time with Jody/Clark and Jeff/Lucia and the extended family before my conference out there.

We had planned to come out on Thursday, but with Gary's call schedule he actually has Wednesday off so we bumped our plans up. Jeff and Lucia kindly offered to pick us up at the airport and have us stay with then, but since they are arriving home Monday after two months abroad, I didn't want to impose, especially a day early. So we arranged for a rental car and planned to have dinner with Jody and Clark on Wednesday and then stay at a hotel near Jeff and Lucia's place. We'd spend the next three days with them before checking into my conference hotel downtown on Saturday night so I can take Gary to the airport Sunday morning.

Here's the response I got from Jeff last night:

Dear Kay:

BAD GIRL

We want you to stay with us, and that will make coordination easier.
I will pick you up on Wednesday and then you can have one of the cars to visit Jody on Wed evening. You'll get a key to get back in to our place.
Thursday is someone's birthday; we'll figure out something. Probably some nice wines and dinner at home; too much wine to drive so you better stay here. By the way, we have an indoor pool, gym, walking paths etc to keep the jocks in you both busy.
Friday I suggest the Wine Dinner at the Marriott in Redmond. See attached email I just got from them. I booked for 4 of us; if we don't want to go, we can change our minds. By the way, the Marriott Redmond Town Center is MUCH better than the Redmond Inn. I am not really sure where that is. I think it is an old motel/hotel.
Saturday we have all the Luanavas, Paul, and have told JimJacque to reserve the date and all over to our place for dinner.
Sunday morning I wake up at 5am so I can run Gary to the airport no problem, or as they say here "no worries mate".

Jeff

Um, OK! I might suggest a couple of minor tweaks to the schedule and perhaps see if Cousins Jeff and Lucia would like to come to dinner with Cousin Jody, but I understand the general flavor of the response: BAD GIRL.

[Heh.]

In the meantime, we're off to the shore this weekend where it is expected to be either rainy or windy or both.

[But at least I'm not in another country.]

SAVE YOUR CORKS!!
