Back at last. The course last week was very good, informative [for the most part] and I think there were many things that I learned that I can apply to my work. I ended up going home a couple of times during the week so that Suki wasn't left to her own devices the WHOLE time.

[But apparently it was long enough, since she has started tearing up the carpeting near the bathroom.]

So . . . she has an appointment on the morning of August 14th for me to take her into the vet's office to have her nails done. No food after 8:00 p.m. on the 13th, have her into the vet's at 8:00 a.m., and she spends two nights at the hospital. Which will actually work out well since I am having a party on the 15th, so now I don't need to worry about what to do with her with all the people there.

Went skating this weekend, but it was SO hot. This is day nine of the heat wave - temps over 90 - but there is a cold front moving through and it should break this evening. My poor plants have just been gasping for water.

Had a meeting with Richard and Oscar and stressed the importance of the timing of the completion of my house. We went through a comprehensive list of everything that has to be done in the next three months to get it finished in time for my company. I think this helped to lay everything out and stress the time frames for each of the major steps.

Mom called this weekend. She is still in Billings, staying with Aunt Junie and Carol. It sounds like they are all having a good time. Dad is off at his reunion, and then will spend this week in Faith, SD. He called in once, so at least we know where he is.

Jennifer brought little Ethan into the office today. What a cutie!

The Trollops are coming this weekend!! At least Steph and Laurie are. Steph will drive down from Ithica and Laurie will be flying into Philly - sometime. I don't know when, and haven't been able to reach either of them, so they may just show up, for all I know! But the plan is that they'll arrive sometime Friday and leave sometime Monday, so I have to get the house in order. I started on it last night, but . . .
