Did a little bike riding today, cleaned up the condo and got ready to be gone for the rest of the week. I am going to University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School for a one week executive management course. It's focused on the insurance and reinsurance broking industry so that everyone that attends is dealing with similar issues.

So I packed up my suitcase this afternoon, called a cab and drove across town to the Steinberg Conference Center on the Penn campus. Had my clothes back out of their suitcase within a half hour of being packed. I suppose I could have stayed at home, but I'm not sure if we'll have study group work at night or not. I figure I can skip out a couple of times to go home and check on the Destructo Kitty.

We picked up our registration material, had an hour long reception, then dinner and then two hours of classwork. There are about 30 people in the class - five of us from Guy Carpenter. The teacher tonight is named Joe Ryan - he came to our office about three years ago and taught a seminar on Change Management, after my company was acquired by Marsh.

Unfortunately, I have even more homework now, so better get cracking on it. Not sure how often I'll get a chance to write - we'll see!
