[Here is what I MEANT to post three weeks ago before we left on vacation. Oops! We got back last Wednesday but have been busy playing catch-up ever since. Will try to resume a more regular schedule this week.]

Mom is home, but still feeling quite a bit of pain. They gave her a new 6-inch scar - to go with the rest of her abdominal scar collection, so no wonder she's not jumping around. But I think she's glad to be home.

[And so is Miss Callie.]

Speaking of cats, Suki has to go to the vet's today. She'll stay there while we're away - they love her there, but she hates to go. She has been quite despondant this weekend, what with the evil suitcases being out and all. She tried to pack herself in the dive duffel last night.

[Poor baby.]

POURED rain this whole weekend. I think we had something blocking the drain above the Master Bedroom as we awoke to the sound of water dripping inside. We compounded the problem with a tarp and had some leaks in the study as well. The roofer will be out as soon as things dry out, so hopefully we will be finished with the problems there.

[One would hope.]

So we're off again to Cocos Island. We were there in 2002 for some shark diving. I'm not as psyched about it as Gary, but the boat is lovely. Hopefully we'll have smooth sailing and lots of sun. We'll be gone for two weeks, so until then:
