Welcome Sweet Springtime

It was one of those days – I was recovering from a migraine headache and I needed to do the laundry. I put in a load of clothes in the washer and turned it on. When I went to put the load in the dryer, I discovered that the washer had run over and the entire floor in the utility room was covered in water. All the things that were on the floor were wet too. I ran for old towels and sopped up all the water I could. This began what seemed to be an all day cleanup. Everything had to come out of the room. We pulled the washer out and a connection to the washer broke. We cleaned and wiped and cleaned. One thing led to another and we cleaned behind the washer and the refrigerator and so forth. It seemed to be an all day job.

When Mark called Marty the Plumber, Marty, said that he would come at three today. When Mark put it in the calendar, he discovered that he had forgotten an appointment he had with his doctor. Fortunately, the doctor was able to see him today, Wednesday. We spent all day cleaning and sorting and throwing out and trying to get things back to normal. Miss Callie is rather upset to have her litter box out in the open. I have no counter space and the mess drives us both crazy. In the evening it started to rain.

Welcome sweet springtime,
We greet thee in song,
Murmers of gladness,
Fall on the ear.

Can’t wait to see what else Spring has in store.
