Had a great weekend. Saturday evening I went to Jen and John's for Ethan's birthday party. They just finished their patio and it looks wonderful. It was great to see everyone, especially the babies.

Sunday morning I got up really early and drove down to Stone Harbor, NJ to watch Gary compete in a Sprint Triathlon. Sprints are the introductory triathlons: about a 1/4 mile swim, an 11 mile bike and a 3 mile run. He did a great job, finishing in 1 hour, 27 minutes. I figure just finishing is a huge accomplishment.

I drove back and returned the rental car, stopping at home to put my bike in the back seat of the car. The rental car office is a couple of miles from the Pier, so I dropped it off and rode my bike home.

I got phone calls from both Mom and Dad. Mom is in Montant visiting her sisters and it sounds like they are enjoying themselves. Dad called and said he was getting ready to watch "Little Big Man." He said the cat is pestering him for attention.

Speaking of cats, I got a cute note from Cousin Jody. She writes:

"Your 6/19 post about the costumes for cats reminded me of some "Engrish" I got recently. I was laughing so hard I could hardly read it out loud. You might get a kick out of it too.

It came with a a couple of dance pads for a video game called Dance Dance Devolution. The 3'x3' pad has sensors in it and is hooked up to the video game. You dance along with the music and try to tap the correct part of the pad with your feet. The game gives you a score and says things like "You could use some more practice" to me when I try it on Easy. The kids are *much* better at it.

Any way, here is the funny part:
