I have lost my brains

Yes, Gentle Readers, I have lost my brains also known as my PDA. I even went to the extreme of cleaning out my purse. Of course, I have all my addresses and phone numbers in it (or is that on it?). If it were my phone which I frequently lose, I could call it but the PDA doesn't answer. I am bereft. Where could it be?

This happened in April and I had a large number of helpful and not so helpful suggestions about its location: under the bed, in the car, left it at the Lewis’s in Oregon, in my suitcase, in a pocket, under the couch, etc., etc., etc. None of those places yielded the elusive Palm Pilot. So I sent out an S.O.S. to the people who are on my Daily Mail list and whose e-mail addresses I have and most of them have very graciously sent the information that I need with a remarkable lack of lecturing. I am supposedly entering all this information into - - - what? I don’t know if I should get another PDA or if I should go back to my little leather book that I have carried for years. However that means that I have to manually enter hundreds of addresses in it. I have entered a state of inertia, unable to do anything. I have bits and pieces of paper with info as well as reams of paper so I should do something. My new best friend is the White Pages web site on the internet.

And so here I am brainless, addressless and clueless. It is not a good place to be.
